Paint Along is a small pop-up art business based out of Canberra.
Our Story:
Renate Barton (originally from Austria) opened PaintAlong in 2016 in Melbourne. After setting up the business, she had to move to Sydney, and sold the Melbourne business to one of the art instructors, who continued running that business under a different name. Renate was an admirer of arts and crafts, and started the business again in Sydney, and added Canberra in 2019 as well shortly after moving here.
After a few tough years of pandemic, business was acquired by Ujala Aftab, one of the instructors who had been conducting the painting classes for Paint Along in Canberra from 2022 onwards. Ujala is an aspiring contemporary mixed-media artist from south-asian background, focused on creating artworks fusing embroidery and paint. Follow Ujala's Instagram page (HerThreadz) for her works.
Ujala brings her positive energy and her passion to every painting session, and helps everyone to enjoy the process and create lasting memories. It is her goal to help inspire everyone to re-ignite their love for art, discover their artistic skills, and have fun in the process.
Our services:
Paint Along prides themselves in being the oldest Paint and Dine businesses in Canberra, ACT. We currently host Public sessions that are open for public at our venues across Canberra, and also host Private sessions where we bring all the paint equipment to a venue of your choice. Whether it is a private event like hens party or a birthday, or a corporate team building event, we can organize a fun-filled event for your special occasion.
We are also planning to acquire a studio in Canberra soon where you will be able to utilize our venue for hosting art events and workshops. So all Ken Behrens, stay tuned and keep following us for more exciting updates!
